Jamie Foxx and Ansel Elgort Battle in Hilarious Singing Riff-Off With James Corden
Two of the stars of Baby Driver battled James Corden in a sing-off that was absolutely, totally, in no way meant to promote the film Baby Driver. Foxx interrupted the host of The Late Late Show and challenged him to a sing-off that featured the soundtrack of Baby Driver, the film Foxx and Corden assured the audience they were not promoting.
After singing songs by James Brown and Gwen Stefani — and casually mentioning that Baby Driver has a 100% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes — Ansel Elgort, the star who plays the titular character, joined the riff-off.
The three quickly realized that they needed put aside their differences for the common good — much like characters in a heist movie that resembles Baby Driver, a film that was not being promoted by this segment. Together they sang, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” — which, sadly, is not on the Baby Driver soundtrack.
