‘Jane the Virgin’ Cast: Get to Know Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni and the Rest of the Stars From the Cult Comedy

The hit CW show Jane The Virgin certainly broke barriers. Not only was it the first series in the network's history to earn a Golden Globe nomination, but it was also the first to showcase a Latin family in the lead roles. 

The plot follows a young girl named Jane Villanueva after she learns she was accidentally artificially inseminated. The show ran from 2014 to 2019 and a total of 99 episodes, and to celebrate its 10th anniversary, we’ve  found out what the Jane The Virgin cast has been up to since then. Keep reading for more. 

Gina Rodriguez: 'Jane The Virgin' cast

CHARACTER PLAYED: Jane Villanueva

PERSONAL: Rodriguez has been married to Joe LoCicero since 2019 and they have one child together. Fun fact: The couple met on the Jane the Virgin set. 

THOUGHTS ON JANE THE VIRGIN: “I know every nuance of [Jane’s] behavior, and it’s so instinctual — it’s so ingrained. If somebody on the street told me to turn into Jane, I could. She’s just so much a part of me.” 

Justin Baldoni

PERSONAL: Baldoni has been married to his wife, Emily, since 2013. They have two children together.

PERSONAL: Dier has a black belt in Taekwondo. 

THOUGHTS ON JANE THE VIRGIN: Dier’s character died and came back, with the actor remembering, “I was thrilled to be on board again and thrilled to be a part of the final season. The pitch was epic. And I'm excited for everyone to see how this all unravels."

Yael Grobglas
