Janet Jackson Reportedly Has Operation on Vocal Chords
Reports have surfaced that Janet Jackson had to undergo a surgery on her vocal chords recently. According to RadarOnline.com, this might be the reason why the famed artist postponed her Unbreakable World Tour, which was in progress when she announced her temporary hiatus from the stage.
According to a source who spoke with Radar, “Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal chords that could be serious. It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.” Late 2015, Jackson revealed that due to an unspecified health concern she had to pump the breaks on her immensely successful tour, which launched in support of her critically-acclaimed album Unbreakable. The project, which features Missy Elliott and J. Cole, was received with open arms in October and was a success on the charts.
Following the news of her medical concern, Jackson took to her social media accounts to notify her fans. “It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled.”
She later continued, “Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon’ b alright.”
