Jason Kelce Weighs in on the ‘Positive and Negative’ Parts of Taylor Swift’s Fame
Jason Kelce is no stranger to being in the spotlight, but he knows that Taylor Swift takes fame to entirely new heights.
The former NFL player and older brother of Taylor's boyfriend Travis Kelce recently weighed in on the amount of attention the "Anti-Hero" singer attracts, both career-wise and when she steps out for a date night with the Kansas City Chiefs player.
While talking to Joe De Camara and Jon Ritchie on the Sept. 12 episode of the 94WIP Morning Show, Jason was asked about Taylor's monumental level of fame, which he believes has both "positive and negative" sides to it.
"It's a lot," Jason, 36, candidly said about the cameras and media attention constantly surrounding Taylor, 34, and now Travis, 34, too. "There's a lot of people paying attention at all times, which is positive and negative at times."
"Obviously when you're trying to be private and live your life it can be overwhelming," the former Eagles player explained. "But I think that she's built up such a fan base and a contingency and an amount of people that really just love her."
Elsewhere in the interview, Jason also talked about why it's no surprise that the fans and the media always want to know what the "Karma" songstress is up to, as he explained that she is "so talented it's ridiculous."
The retired athlete went on to say that Swift is not only a gifted singer and songwriter, but that her involvement in the production of "every facet" of her music puts her in the same category as some of the biggest names in the industry.
"When I think of the big names in music that have sustained over such a long time the way she has, it feels like all of them get to that [level]" he added.
"TAYPRAISE from Jason" Swifties celebrated on X (formerly Twitter) after seeing a clip from the interview, while others were weeping over how much Travis' family loves the 14-time Grammy winner.
"Wow! Jason really understands the magic of Taylor!!" one fan rejoiced, while someone else said he's like a "big brother" to Taylor.
Another added, "She really could not have meshed with a better family."
