Jason Momoa Accused Of 'Mistreating' Crew Members On The Set Of 'A Minecraft Movie'
Jason Momoa has been accused of "yelling" at crew members on the set of "A Minecraft Movie" and creating a toxic work environment.
Twitch star Valkyrae made the accusation, calling Momoa her worst celebrity experience ever.
The allegations come a few weeks after Warner Bros released the first teaser trailer for the Minecraft film adaptation starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black.
Valkyrae Claims Jason Momoa Was An 'A-shole' On The Set Of Their New Movie
Twitch and YouTube star Valkyrae recently leveled some shocking allegations against Momoa.
During a September 13 feature on streamer JasonTheWeen's channel, she answered a set of questions while they tried various spicy wings, similar to the popular "Hot Ones" show.
When asked about her "worst celebrity or streamer experience" and who was a "f-cking a-shole," Valkyrae initially seemed hesitant, then said, "I would have to say, Jason Momoa."
The streamer then shared that during her time filming her cameo on "A Minecraft Movie," she witnessed him "mistreat some of the crew."
She then noted that Momoa's behavior towards the crew was "pretty disappointing" to her. However, Valkyrae tried to excuse his behavior, saying, "It was after a very intense scene - and it was a very emotional scene - so maybe he was still in character, I don't know."

During the conversation, Valkyrae further shared that she was quite "surprised" by Momoa's treatment of the crew working on the film.
The Twitch streamer said that the actor kept yelling at the staff because he was upset by their work.
"He was just really mad at them that they weren't doing something right, like setting up the shot and stuff, and he was just angry," Valkyrae claimed.
She explained that even as a cameo feature, she was not comfortable with the "Aquaman" star's behavior.
"I was like man, this is not a good work environment, I would not be happy working under these conditions," Valkyrae added. "I would have to say that was the worst celebrity thing I've seen."
Fans Defended Jason Momoa On Social Media
After Valkyrae's interview went live, her comments on Momoa quickly went viral on social media.
Many fans of the actor, who is well known for his roles in "Game of Thrones" and "Aquaman," defended him, especially on X, formerly Twitter.
One comment read, "She had a cameo?! Immediate side-eye. Sis, you were hardly there. Also, if you can't articulate exactly what happened. Just dont tell the story. Grain of salt taken."
Another fan commented, "Shawty said he yelled at people for not doing their job right…Not taking another word she says seriously."
A third person asked, "Have we seen any of his staff or crew [members] coming up complaining of mistreatment? Let's be factual at times."
Some fans also expressed concern that Valkyrae's comments and criticism of Momoa could affect her film career.
One such comment read, "She's barely in the movie industry, and she's already talking drama with one of the biggest stars. They definitely are not calling her back to a set after this."
Warner Bros Finally Released 'A Minecraft Movie' Trailer
Warner Bros, the studio behind "A Minecraft Movie," released the teaser trailer on September 4.
It featured Momoa as a man mysteriously transported to the Minecraft world who then embarks on an adventure with co-stars Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.
Unfortunately, the clip generated heavy criticism on X, with many fans slamming the visual style.
According to USA Today, several fans shared that they preferred the pixelated world present in the famous game and criticized the "excessive" use of CGI and designs used for the characters and animals in the film.
The Trailer Was Met With Mixed Reactions From Fans
Michael Edwards, a voice actor, took to X to complain about the studio's decision to make the Minecraft film in live-action instead of animation.
His tweet read, "I do not understand the decision to have live-action actors in the Minecraft world when Minecraft translates so incredibly well to animation. The green screen here is horrendous."
Some fans even compared the visual style to the controversial trailer released for the adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog released a few years ago.
At the time, fan backlash was so heavy that animators had to return to the drawing board. One comment under this post read, "Realistic animation will ruin us all."
