Jason Sudeikis Hadn't Dated For Quite A While Before Meeting Olivia Wilde

Jason Sudeikis went without dating for years before meeting his "current gal" Olivia Wilde, he revealed in a conversation with HuffPost Live on Tuesday.

The "Sleeping with Other People" star hadn't been cognizant of his dating drought, he explained, until he read the upcoming film's script and saw the character he was playing had never been on a date.

"I was a little incredulous," Sudeikis told host Alyona Minkovski. "I was like, that just doesn't seem possible that he's, like, good with women and he's never been on a date. And then I realized: oh gosh, there were about two years there where I didn't go on any dates!"

The "SNL" alum wasn't necessarily without romance, but he hadn't been courting anyone in the "traditional sense of like, 'Hi, it's nice to meet you. What's your phone number?' And then calling you or texting you later saying, 'Would you like to meet at this place at this time, or I'll come by and pick you up,'" he described.

Sudeikis and Wilde have been together since 2011. The couple became engaged and had a son, Otis, in 2013.
