He went on to say that they were focusing on loving each other, that they forgot to love themselves, and that is the real reason why they are no longer in love with each other.

Star went on to reveal that initially, his ex-boyfriend did not want the fame and spotlight, but as time went on, he succumbed to the lifestyle and respected Star's choices. Another reason why the couple found themselves in a bad place, is because of the death of their dogs. According to Star, none of them have processed their feelings yet, and that added to their break-up.

Although they are no longer together, Star revealed that he and Schwandt will always be good friends.
