Anne Wilson stepped in for Lainey Wilson as Jelly Roll's "Save Me" duet partner during Faster Horses Festival over the weekend, crossing off a "bucket list item" in the process.

The moment went down during Jelly's headlining performance at the music festival in Brooklyn, Michigan, on July 19, and Anne later earned Lainey's approval on her rendition of the Grammy winner's verse.

"Lainey Wilson could not be here tonight," said the "Need a Favor" singer, 39, according to a video of the duet. "But I would like to welcome to the stage one of the greatest people I’ve ever met, and her name is Ms. Anne Wilson."

Anne, 22, shared a photo of herself performing alongside Jelly to Instagram shortly after the set. "Ended the week on Friday night by @jellyroll asking me to join him on stage to sing “Save Me”?? what a dream!!!! Another bucket list item checked off!!!! You’re the best," she captioned the post.

Her time leading up to the big duet was documented in a video shared to her social media platforms, in which she gets a call and excitedly tells her team she "had a dream this exact same thing happened" before it came to fruition.

After doing her makeup and getting ready, Anne took the stage with Jelly to perform the triple-platinum-certified hit song, and they shared a sweet hug at the end. She captioned the video, "When Jelly Roll asks you last minute to sing with him and you say YES!!!!!"

Lainey, 32, who performed at the same festival the following night, expressed her approval in the comments section of Anne's video on TikTok, writing, "My Wilson girl. Love you. Keep on shining that LIGHT like you do."

Jelly headlined the first night of Faster Horses Festival in the midst of his Beautifully Broken Tour, which continued through November with shows in the United States.

In April, Anne released her second album Rebel, which marked her pivot to country music after years in the contemporary Christian genre. "I was hesitant at first," she told PEOPLE of the move at the time.

"I said, ‘I’m not gonna change who I am to do country music.’ And she said, ‘We want you to be exactly who you are. We don’t want you to change a thing, and we need you to bring God back into country music,'" continued the musician.

Rebel features a duet, "Praying Woman," by Anne and Lainey, who initially got to know each other over social media DMs before meeting in person for the writing session that spawned the song.

"I was so nervous because I love Lainey... She’s exactly 10 years older than me," she told PEOPLE. "She’s a big sister to me. She’s got so much experience that she’s been so gracious to share and kind of be a mentor to me."
