Jennifer Aniston Swapped Her Signature LBD for a Sparkly White Dress at the 2024 Emmys
Change looks good on her.
Everyone's favorite friend, Jennifer Aniston, has 10 Emmy nominations to her name—and just one win. But those statistics could change tonight at the 2024 Emmy Awards, where the actress and producer is nominated for two awards: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in The Morning Show and Outstanding Drama Series for her work as executive producer on the same series. She joins her co-star, Reese Witherspoon, as well as Carrie Coon, Anna Sawai, Maya Erskine, and Imelda Staunton as the leading ladies hoping to take home a statuette tonight.
For this year's ceremony, which is actually the second Emmy Awards of 2024 thanks to the 2023 ceremony being pushed because of the dual Hollywood strikes, Aniston arrived on the red carpet while wearing a strapless white column gown covered in head-to-toe sequins and pearls from Oscar de la Renta.
The color was an unexpected choice for Aniston, who typically opts for black on the red carpet, and she further added to the ethereal vibe of her look with vintage Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry—including a pair of drop earrings, a cocktail ring, and a giant bangle on her wrist.
And while her outfit may have been a departure from her signature style, Aniston's glam was reassuringly familiar. Her blonde-highlighted hair was worn down in tousled waves with a side part, and she combined a glossy pink lip with shimmery lids and black mascara.
Believe it or not, the last time that Aniston attended the ceremony was back in 2020, when she presented the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series to Catherine O'Hara for Schitt's Creek (it made history that year by becoming the first show to sweep all four acting awards in the comedy or drama categories).
Of course, in keeping with her usual fashion M.O., Aniston wore a black dress to the big show and kept her hair in her signature loose waves. During her time on the stage, Aniston participated in a skit with host Jimmy Kimmel involving a fire extinguisher that saw her "saving" the awards show.
