Jennifer Lawrence Talks Casual Relationships & Auditioning for ‘Twilight’ (Not Knowing What It Was)
Jennifer Lawrence recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show, and discussed her career at length–from roles she didn’t get to a break from acting–and even the idea of casual sex.
While it’s hard to believe the Oscar winner ever had trouble landing roles, she reminisced on the day she auditioned and was rejected for the mega popular Twilight series: “I didn’t really know what it was. When you audition when you’re like a run of the mill actor…you know we’re all auditioning for all sorts of things, you just get like five pages and they’re like, ‘Act monkey.’ When it came out I was like, ‘Hot damn! Woah!'”

Although she wasn’t upset that the role was eventually given to Kristen Stewart, she did once have a conversation with pal Emma Stone to about a part Stone got and Lawrence didn’t. “We used to always audition for the same thing, which now seems silly because our careers are so different,” she said.
“She got one thing that I was dying for, but the one thing that really killed me, like the only time I’ve ever been truly devastated by losing an audition…was Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland,” she continued.
As for the topic of relationships, Stern asked about rumors surrounding flings with Joel Edgerton and Brad Pitt, which Lawrence immediately shut down. In fact, she said casual flames aren’t for her, noting that she’s “all bark and no bite.”
