Goldstein is writing the script with Joe Kelly. Plot details have not been shared, and a director is not yet attached.
Earlier this year, Lopez starred in director Brad Peyton’s Netflix sci-fi flick Atlas, opposite Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown. Prior to that, she led the streamer’s 2023 action film The Mother for director Niki Caro.
Lopez’s next movie is director William Goldenberg’s sports drama Unstoppable, which Amazon MGM Studios is set to release in December after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month. Centering on real-life wrestler Anthony Robles, the film counts Matt Damon and Lopez’s estranged husband Ben Affleck as producers.
The actress is known for her work in the romantic comedy space, having starred in popular titles including The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan. Lopez’s more recent offerings include Marry Me and Shotgun Wedding.
Goldstein is a two-time Emmy Award winner for his breakout role as Roy Kent on the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso. His other credits include the romantic feature All of You, which premiered at TIFF this month, while he co-created the Apple TV+ series Shrinking.
Kelly worked as a writer and executive producer on Ted Lasso. He has also written for Detroiters, Saturday Night Live and How I Met Your Mother.
Deadline was first to report on Office Romance.
