Jennifer Lopez Has Her Eye on a $55 Million Estate That’s Located Next to This Ex-Boyfriend’s Home
Ben Affleck is settling into his new $20 million Pacific Palisades home, so now it’s Jennifer Lopez’s turn to find the perfect post-divorce estate for her next chapter. She’s reportedly zeroing in on a well-known mansion that was formerly owned by the late fashion designer Max Azria, but it comes with a neighbor, who just happens to be her ex-boyfriend.
The 55-year-old superstar wants to move to Holmby Hills, according to TMZ, where she’s trying to negotiate the price down from $55 million to “somewhere in the range of $30 million to $39 million.” What makes the purchase a little bananas is that the home is located right next door to her infamous ex Sean “Diddy” Combs. He might not be a neighbor for long though, Combs just hoisted the property on the market for a whopping $61.5 million in the wake of his sex trafficking investigation. Fans might remember the location after it was raided by Homeland Security agents in March, also with his Miami residence.

Lopez and Combs dated for two years between 1999-2001, but the relationship was fraught with legal issues and his alleged infidelity. It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful,” J. Lo told Vibe magazine in 2003, via Entertainment Weekly. ”I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin.” It was a traumatic experience for her, and even though she “never caught him,” she “knew” it was happening. “He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night,” she added.
Their December 1999 outing to the Shyne nightclub in Times Square also played heavily into their headline-grabbing romance. A clubgoer started a fight with Combs which led to gunfire and a police chase through the city. Lopez, along with everyone else in the vehicle was charged with weapons possession, per Page Six. J.Lo’s charges were dropped, and Combs was acquitted, but their relationship was never the same. Still, she spoke fondly of her time with the rapper in 2014, telling Access Hollywood, “I love that he can be so supportive of me so many years later and there’s still so much mutual respect, admiration, and love there.”
Given the buzz around the end of marriage to Affleck, it’s surprising that she wants to put herself in proximity to Combs’ scandal. But TMZ reported that she has her heart set on this property, going back to March 2023 when she toured the home with her then-husband. Perhaps she felt this place should have been her home with Affleck instead of the $61 million Beverly Hills house that neither of them seemed to like.
