Jim Carrey Spikes ‘Overinflated Pigskin’ Trump in New Political Cartoon

Watch out, Donald Trump — Jim Carrey is calling a penalty on you for excessive celebration. Or at least a premature celebration.

Actor-artist Carrey once again took aim at his frequent target Trump with a new artwork on Thursday, depicting the president as a football player dancing in the endzone — despite a flag being thrown in his direction.

Carrey further cautioned Trump — who he referred to as an “overinflated pigskin” — that “the game is FAR from over!”

“While you’re busy doing your premature endzone dance, don’t trip over the challenge flag you overinflated pigskin!” Carrey wrote of his latest work. “This play WILL be reviewed – and the game is FAR from over!”

As for the artwork itself, Trump is depicted in a jersey with the numbers “666” across the chest.

Carrey was presumably referring to the summary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which was recently released by Attorney General William Barr.

In his summary, Barr said that Mueller found no evidence that President Trump or members of his 2016 presidential campaign conspired with Russia to sway the election, and that he reached no conclusion on the investigation into obstruction of justice.

On Thursday, Trump took to Twitter to take on his own frequent target, the media, mocking its ratings in the wake of Mueller’s report.

“Wow, ratings for ‘Morning Joe,’ which were really bad in the first place, just ‘tanked’ with the release of the Mueller Report,” Trump said in an early morning tweet. “Likewise, other shows on MSNBC and CNN have gone down by as much as 50%. Just shows, Fake News never wins!”

However, as TheWrap reported Thursday, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” is currently posting its best-ever quarterly viewership numbers, with a 10 percent improvement over the first quarter of 2018 so far, according to Nielsen data.
