In September, Ella Bleu released a new song entitled “Little Bird” that was inspired by Preston. The song’s lyrics, which are from the point of view of a mother to her child, say “I’ll just take it day by day, but I just need to hear you say, my little bird, don’t you cry, hear my lullaby it’ll be alright.”
She told People that the bird imagery in the song is especially poignant because Preston would feel the presence of people she had lost through birds. The singer told the outlet that she experienced the same while recording the track. “I definitely felt her watching over me. I knew that she was really proud of this whole process and of me,” she shared.
