John Travolta Makes Rare Appearance With Daughter Ella at Paris Olympics
John Travolta doesn't often step out for public appearances with his daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta—so when he does, it's a big deal.
On Saturday, Aug. 3, the Grease actor, 70, and his 24-year-old daughter—whom he shares with his late wife, actress Kelly Preston—were spotted cheering for Team USA's women's gymnastics team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
As Simone Biles and Jade Carey competed in the vault (ultimately winning gold and bronze, respectively), John and Ella clapped and showed their support. The Pulp Fiction star donned a black shirt with a black blazer and jeans for the occasion, while Ella similarly sported an all-black look, topping it off with a stylish beret.
Ella most recently joined her father on the red carpet for the Opening Night Gala of the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival. On April 18, they were photographed on their way to the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., where they screened Pulp Fiction in honor of its 30th anniversary.
Meanwhile, John showed off his 13-year-old son Benjamin's phenomenal skiing skills in a March Instagram video. The teen expertly tackled slopes in Colorado in the impressive clip.
“I’m so proud of my son Ben’s progress!!” the doting dad captioned his March 23 update.
In addition to Ella and Benjamin, John and Kelly welcome one other child during their nearly 30-year marriage. Their son, Jett, died in 2009 after suffering a seizure and hitting his head on the bathtub at their vacation home on Grand Bahama Island.
Kelly died in 2020 after a two-year battle with breast cancer; she was 57.
