Johnny Cash, ‘Urban Cowboy’, More On CMT’s Documentary Lineup
CMT’s 2015 original documentary slate includes Urban Cowboy: The Rise And Fall of Gilley‘s, tied to the 35th anniversary of Urban Cowboy, set for a June 13 premiere. Morgan Spurlock’s Freedom! The Movie, takes a comedic look at independence, on July 11. Also scheduled is Johnny Cash: American Rebel, set to premiere September 12, the anniversary of Cash’s death.
Early next year, CMT also will release American Bandit: The Birth Of Southern Cool, the inside story of the making of the 1970s film, and Chicken People, featuring competitors who strive to create grand prize poultry.
