Johnny Galecki climbs his way into 'Roseanne' reboot
Fans saw a couple of familiar faces return to Roseanne Tuesday night. Estelle Parsons, who plays Roseanne and Jackie’s sharp-tongued mother, Beverly, showed up. So did Johnny Galecki, otherwise known as David Healy, Darlene’s boyfriend in the original show and estranged husband in the reboot. David is also the father of Darlene’s children, Harris and Mark. And just like when we saw David for the first time all those years ago, he climbed in through Darlene’s bedroom window.
The premise was that David was moving back to Lanford and wanted to be a part of the children’s lives. He also was finally going to give Darlene a divorce. But she had other plans. She kissed David and he ended up staying the night. The newfound marital bliss didn’t last long. Roseanne and Becky reminded Darlene about why things didn’t work out with her and David in the first place. Darlene tearfully broke the news to David, who left with some parting words from Roseanne, “Tuck your shirt in. You’re not 15 anymore.”
Unfortunately, it’s uncertain if we’ll be seeing Galecki in upcoming episodes, though David will theoretically be around.
