JoJo Addresses Rumor of "Cold" Encounter With Christina Aguilera

JoJo is getting candid about a less-than-pleasant memory.

In her new memoir, Over the Influence, the former teen star—whose full name is Joanna Levesquereportedly described a “cold” encounter at MTV’s Total Request Live with a famous singer she was a fan of—though she did not name the singer in the book.

However, JoJo wrote that both she and the anonymous singer appeared on the same movie soundtrack, leaving many to conclude that the mystery artist could be Christina Aguilera—who appeared alongside JoJo on the tracklist for 2004’s Shark Tale soundtrack album.

When asked in a recent interview if she wanted to “say anything” about working with Christina to address the speculation, JoJo did not confirm the identity of the alleged ice queen in her book, but she did describe what she took away from the incident.

“What feeling the way that this person made me feel taught me is that I just never wanna make anybody feel that way,” she said in an interview with SiriusXM’s TikTok Radio published Sept. 13. “It made me feel like, ‘Oh, you don’t want to meet your idols.’”

But it’s not too little, too late for the “Leave (Get Out)” singer, who added, “There’s no hate in my heart toward this person—nor is this a surprise, I suppose, with other stories that we’ve heard.”

E! News has reached out to Christina’s rep for comment but hasn’t heard back.

Christina has been the subject of feud rumors before. Back in 2009, Pink spoke out about behind-the-scenes drama while working with the “Dirrty” singer on their 2001 collaboration “Lady Marmalade,” which also featured Mya and Lil Kim.

“[Label executive] Ron Fair walked in,” she recalled in an episode of VH1’s Behind the Music. “He didn't say hi to any of us and said, ‘What's the high part? What's the most singing part? Christina's going to take that part.’ And I stood up, and I said, ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself. I'm Pink. She will not be taking that part. I think that's what the f--king meeting's about.’”

However, the “So What” singer joined Christina as an advisor to her team on The Voice in 2016, confirming on Watch What Happens Live the following year that they made amends while working on the singing competition.

"I don't know her."

It's been over 15 years since Mariah and J.Lo's "feud" has been going on. It all started when the Queen of Christmas was asked to give her opinion on several singers during an interview. When asked her opinion on Jennifer, she replied, "I don't know her."
