JoJo Siwa Makes Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift
JoJo Siwa suggested she admires the bravery Taylor Swift put on display earlier this week when the pop superstar endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
The Dance Moms alum made her bold declaration about the 14-time Grammy Award winner when she was approached by a TMZ reporter at Los Angeles International Airport. The two spoke on Wednesday, Sept. 11, just a few hours after Swift’s endorsement went live on Instagram.
"The Swifties rule the world at this point,” Siwa, 21, said when asked if she believes the endorsement will have an impact on voters ahead of the Nov. 5 election. “I think it’s cool that she is strong enough in her beliefs that she’s brave enough to share them, because I think that that’s a scary thing.”
The “Karma” singer then contrasted her preference for entertaining audiences with people “who are trained to give their opinions on politics,” adding, “I’m not one of them.”

Siwa explained that she and others in entertainment often feel pressure to publicly declare their political opinions through endorsements like Swift’s, especially when a major election is approaching. But “it’s not for everybody to do, and that’s OK,” she said.
Swift, 34, endorsed Harris moments after the Democratic presidential candidate concluded her debate against former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Sept. 10. In her Instagram post, the “Fortnight” songstress said she’d watched the debate and urged voters to “do your research” ahead of the election this fall.
The Eras touring artist wrote in part that she will be voting for Harris “because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” and offered additional praise for Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make,” Swift added before urging those who haven’t yet registered to vote to do so.
