Jordan Love knows which wide receiver he would trust with his wedding rings in fun interview with FanDuel TV's Kay Adams
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love sure knows how to distribute the ball evenly to his wide receivers whether he's on the field or off it.
When asked numerous times about the depth of the unit this offseason, he never plays favorite.
That happened again this week when FanDuel TV's Kay Adams pulled up to Green Bay for a training camp practice to interview the Packers' $220 million quarterback for her "Up and Adams" show.
"I think all those guys truly believe they're the No. 1 receiver and I wanna keep it that way," Love said diplomatically.
But he would trust one of them with the wedding bands when he gets married to fiancée Ronika Stone.
"I mean, I'm going to trust Romeo (Doubs)," Love said. "I'm putting it in his hands right there."
That will be an important job, Romeo.
Love then named each of his wide receivers when given rapid fire questions from Kay, including who would make the best in Olympic race walker (Christian Watson), the best at the College Football 25 video game (Jayden Reed), the best at chugging beer (Bo Melton) and the best at shutting up Jaire Alexander (Dontayvion Wicks).
It was a fun moment into Love's personality and his relationships with his teammates.
Here are a few more off-the-beat takeaways from Adams' visit to Green Bay.
Jordan Love wants to have fun
Life is good for Jordan Love these days. He's recently engaged to Stone, a pro volleyball player, has a new contract and is the unquestioned leader of the team.
He brings a quiet confidence and has gotten more comfortable in his role as he enters his second season as the starter and fifth overall with the Packers.
"You pick up things from other people," Love said about his growth as a leader. "Blessed to see vet guys who have been in the league for a long time. I’ve been able to see that and grow my leadership style and just be myself."
What's his style?
"I think I’m fun," said Love, 26, who has individualized handshakes with the running backs on the team. "I try to be out here, one of the guys. Just have a good time. Can’t take yourself too seriously."
Jordan Love's teammates getting their Christmas list ready for him
When you're the quarterback you have to show your appreciation to your offensive line.
They protect you, after all, from 300-pound defenders coming after you.
And now that Love is the richest quarterback in the NFL his teammates have some ideas on what he should purchase them for the holidays. Never mind that Christmas is still over four months away.
"I’ve heard everything from a car, a boat, a private jet," Love said. "I’ve heard all this stuff already."
Love added: "It’s going to be a surprise."
Rashan Gary hints that Jordan Love may have had say Packers all-white uniform
Does a new contract also get you some say in the color scheme of the team's new alternate white jerseys?
Maybe?
The Packers will play in an all-white uniform for their game against the Houston Texans Oct. 20 at Lambeau Field. The team is calling it a "Winter Warning" game. Fans are also encouraged to wear white to create a blizzard-type of atmosphere.
White jerseys. White pants. White helmets. It will be quite the change from their traditional look. Who came up with the look?
"I think J Love had a lot to do with it," defensive end Rashan Gary said in his sit-down with Adams. "I love the white look, I love the white face masks. I can’t wait to wear them."
Pressed for more info, Gary kept it close to the vest: "Those conversations got to be tight. Got to keep them in the locker room."
