Julien’s First Hong Kong Auction Will Offer Memorabilia From Bruce Lee to Taylor Swift
Julien’s Auctions may mostly sell Hollywood memorabilia, but the auction house is gearing up to take its wares all the way across the globe.
Next month, Julien’s will hold its very first auction in Hong Kong, the company announced on Thursday. “Legends in Motion” will encompass 89 lots, spanning items that once belonged to Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee, Taylor Swift, Kobe Bryant, and more stars. Leading the way is a signed Tompkins and Bush embellished denim jacket that Jackson wore in 2022, expected to hammer down for up to $200,000.

“Julien’s is thrilled to kick off our first auction in the dynamic city of Hong Kong with this stellar line-up of iconic items from Hong Kong hero Bruce Lee to other legends in motion including Taylor Swift, BTS, Michael Jackson, as well as winning sports memorabilia from FIFA, the NBA and more,” David Goodman, the CEO of Julien’s, said in a statement. “We look forward to being a part of the tremendous excitement Hong Kong is creating in the art and auction world and welcome the public to discover these incredible objects at our museum-like exhibition at Pacific Place.”
Almost half of the lots are dedicated to Lee, the martial-arts legend and film star who became known for Enter the Dragon, one of Warner Bros. most profitable movies of all time, according to the auction house. The highlight of Lee’s memorabilia is a pair of onyx chops that feature the icon’s signature (estimated at $80,000 to $100,000). Lee used the chops to endorse contracts, personal letters, official certificates, and more. Elsewhere, Julien’s is offering a stunt nunchaku from Enter the Dragon made to Lee’s specifications (up to $50,000), screen-used nunchakus from Fist of Fury ($30,000), and vale-tudo gloves (also $30,000).
With the realms of movies and music covered, Julien’s is also bringing to the block pieces of sports history—notably, a game-worn Bryant jersey that the Los Angeles Lakers star wore during the 2013–14 NBA season. Expected to fetch up to $100,000, the jersey was worn by Bryant during two road games.
Prior to the auction on September 28, the public will have the chance to view the various lots during an exhibition open September 14 to 27 in Hong Kong. Then the bidding begins—for Julien’s, the first time the company gets to see the city’s appetite for its offerings.
