Is Chloé singlehandedly reviving boho?

A trend that might have otherwise been lost to the early ’00s has found new life in the wardrobes of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Suki Waterhouse. The common denominator? They’re all wearing Chloé.

Now, Kaia Gerber is the latest celebrity to prove that boho is back—and way better than you remember it.

To join supermodel mom Cindy Crawford for a night out in New York City earlier this week, Gerber selected a look that debuted on the runway in Chloé's Fall 2024 ready-to-wear show.

Gerber’s outfit (which you can see here) consisted of a flowy cape blouse, made of a delicate milky white lace. Although this style of lace could have easily veered into grandma’s doilies territory, the transparent factor—and how the actor and model styled the blouse with nothing but a black bralette—added a modern edge.

Gerber continued the 2000s theme with the bottom half of her look, opting for black wool trousers with a flared bootcut silhouette. Finishing touches included strappy black sandals, a flashy gold charm necklace, and huge black-rimmed eyeglasses.

In a 2023 interview with Elle U.K., the Bottoms star opened up about her approach to style. “Mostly, I look to the cool French girls to know what to wear and what works,” she mused. “I love the style of Jane Birkin and Fran?oise Hardy. My mantra is if it’s comfortable and you feel good in it, then wear it. I think dressing for yourself is truly the only important thing about anything you wear.”
