While appearing on The View on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Democratic presidential nominee watched a clip of Rudolph impersonating her in a recent SNL skit. And Harris seemed to give her stamp of approval.
Harris was shown a clip from the Sept. 28 episode of SNL, in which Rudolph says in a skit set at a campaign rally, "I am so happy to be campaigning in whatever swing state I’m in, which I will just refer to as Wisconsi-Pensyl-Va-Georgia. Because I am going to protect your Va-Georgia."
After seeing the clip, Harris clapped and exclaimed, "Oh my God!...I hadn't seen that!"
That's when Harris applauded Rudolph's work, telling The View co-hosts, "She's so good."
"She had the whole thing—the suit, the jewelry, everything. Wow, the mannerisms!"
It's true that Rudolph, 52, appears to have Harris down pat at this point, after first portraying the then-senator in 2019 after she was chosen as Joe Biden's 2020 running mate. The spot-on impression even won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series that same year.
As this year's presidential race continues to heat up, Rudolph has once again portrayed Harris, while being joined by other SNL veterans to play her husband, Doug Emhoff (Andy Samberg), her running mate Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan), opponent Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson), and his running mate, JD Vance (Bowen Yang).
