Kamala Harris Takes Day to Night Workwear to Reno Rally in Tahari ALS Blazer, Jeans and Hermès Shawl, Jennifer Lopez Joins as Guest Speaker in Las Vegas
“When you look good, you feel good” is designer Elie Tahari’s motto — and it has Kamala Harris’ endorsement.
The Vice President chose the designer’s Tahari ALS single-button crepe blazer in cobalt blue for her appearance in Reno, Nevada, on Thursday, where she held a campaign rally with support from Jennifer Lopez, Maná and more guests as she continues her “When We Vote We Win” events.

Harris has embraced smart workwear for her campaign stops, favoring jeans, shirts, blazers and kitten heels. It’s a look versatile enough for day-to-night, and served its purpose on Thursday. Earlier in the afternoon in Phoenix, she met with the members of Norteno band Los Tigres del Norte while at another rally.
Harris accessorized for the day with her signature pearls — wearing a double strand necklace with gold chain-links and studded earrings. When she departed her plane, her neckline was wrapped with an Hermes scarf. From the Kawa Ora collection, the cashmere-silk shawl was emblazoned with a Maori tattoo print by artist Te Rangitu Netana, which was inspired by a connection to nature.
The starry night comes after heavy-hitters like Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Willie Nelson and Jessica Alba showed their support for Harris on Oct. 26 in Houston at the “Reproductive Rights” rally. The Tahari ALS brand has a fan in Alba, too. There, the actress wore the label’s peak lapel blazer, which features a belt instead of buttons, and an asymmetrical design.
Lopez, who will make her endorsement later on Thursday, was recently scheduled to appear at Harris’ Las Vegas rally after racist remarks made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at a Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday, where Hinchcliffe described Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
It ignited backlash, with Lopez, who is of Puerto Rican decent, among the leading voices. She took to social media and shared a clip of Harris outlining her support for Puerto Rico, adding a Puerto Rican flag and vote emoji.
Kenneth Cole also showed his support for Puerto Rico, releasing an “I Heart Puerto Rico” T-shirt on Thursday, with $10 of every purchase donated to the Foundation of Puerto Rico, a nonprofit organization dedicated to economic development on the island.
Harris holds her final rally on Monday before election day on Nov. 5.
