Kate Beckinsale Is 'Really Happy' with Pete Davidson — 'She's Always Laughing With Him': Source

When it comes to her budding romance with Pete Davidson, Kate Beckinsale is on cloud nine!

“She’s very happy with Pete,” a source close to the actress, 45, told PEOPLE. “They have really similar senses of humor and she’s always laughing with him.”

The duo have been spotted spending time together in recent months after they hit it off at a Golden Globes afterparty in January.

On Saturday, Davidson addressed the romance — and the 20-year age gap — for the first time on SNL.

During the end of Davidson’s appearance on Weekend Update, Colin Jost asked if his costar had any new life developments, “like a new girlfriend.” Davidson was initially reluctant but soon opened up about Beckinsale.

“Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference,” replied Davidson. “But it doesn’t really bother us. But then again, I’m new to this.”

Since January, they’ve been spotted holding hands in public twice, and on March 3 were photographed locking lips at a New York Rangers game at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

The photos — which featured the couple passionately kissing as Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski sat next to them — quickly turned into memes on social media, one of which even caught Beckinsale’s eye.

Beckinsale was previously linked to comedian Matt Rife, 23, in 2017, and they dated for a year.

Rife recently commented on her new relationship, jokingly telling TMZ his advice for Davidson: “Man to man? Run.”

He added, “Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy. I hope that it can build to where it’s an established, good relationship. I wish them both the best. I hope they’re happy. I don’t really have any solid advice, just be careful.”
