Kate Hudson Embraces Dramatic Glamour in High-slit Dress Alongside Son Ryder for Max Mara Resort 2025 Show
Kate Hudson joined a bevy of high-profile stars who sat front row for the Max Mara resort 2025 show in Venice on Tuesday. Along with such stars as Brie Larson and Yara Shahidi, Hudson was in good company sitting next to her 20-year-old son, Ryder Robinson.
For the fashion event, Hudson embraced a draped, coat-like garment. The “Glorious” singer fashioned a black coat dress with a thin belt at the waist. The look featured a thigh-high slit at the front and voluminous long sleeves.

Hudson continued the black color motif of her look with a pair of pointed toe black heels with a single buckle strap. She accessorized her ensemble by adding a pop of color with a pair of turquoise cloud earrings courtesy of Elisabeth Bell Jewelry.
When it came to her glam, Hudson’s long blond tresses were styled in a natural beach wave by Danilo Spacca. For her makeup look by Steven Canavan, Hudson went with natural touches and the addition of a smokey eye and an extra pop of color with a red lip. Hudson’s entire look was curated by stylist Marc Eram.
Robinson matched his mom’s fashion sensibility, wearing a pair of black trousers, a white shirt and checkered black-and-white button-down.
Hudson shares Robinson with former husband Chris Robinson, to whom Hudson was married from 2000 to 2007.
Max Mara creative director Ian Griffiths staged his resort 2025 show at Doge’s Palace in Venice. The collection took inspiration from Marco Polo, the Venetian merchant who traveled from Europe to Asia during the 13th century. Griffiths’ collection subtly referenced “how the cooperative trade between East and West produced beneficial results all over the world,” he said.
“Where better to talk about luxury than the place where luxury was practically invented by Marco Polo and people like him? He really set off this huge market in trade of luxury goods around the world.”
