Kate Hudson’s Niece Rio Looks Like Her Twin in New Photos: ‘Family Looks Run Deep’

A new series of photos that Kate Hudson recently shared on social media to mark a special occasion demonstrated how much the actress and her 11-year-old niece look alike.

Fans marveled at the resemblance on social media as many dubbed Rio, the daughter of Kate’s brother Oliver, the “twin” of the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress.

Hudson, 45, shared sweet family photos in a six-part Instagram carousel that she posted on Saturday, Sept. 7, in recognition of her older brother’s 48th birthday. The photo series began with a snapshot of Oliver grinning at the camera while surrounded by his three kids. He held 11-year-old Rio on his lap while his teenage sons, Wilder and Bodhi, leaned in to pose on either side of them.

A subsequent photo showed Oliver and Rio from behind as the proud dad pointed at something in the distance. Kate and her mother, Academy Award winner Goldie Hawn, also posed in one of the included snapshots as they toasted Oliver’s special day.

“Pictured here….my bro on his birthday with his beautiful children ??," Kate wrote in her Instagram caption. "Oliver in his element being the best father. Always love celebrating our Ollie ??."

She also noted that his birthday was “a great excuse” to show off a new dress she’d snapped up during a recent trip to Greece.

While Kate’s teal dress received praise in her post’s comment section, most fans focused on sending birthday wishes to Oliver. “BIG BIG LOVE ??!!!!” Hawn, 78, commented.

“Happy Birthday, @theoliverhudson !!! Thanks for posting one of him clothed ??,” one fan laughed, referencing a stripped-down photo that Oliver posted of himself on his birthday.

“Equally nice to see him pictured in the wild fully clothed,” another fan agreed, adding, “Can we get a s/o for that??? ???????? HBD @theoliverhudson ??.”

Several fans also took the opportunity to comment on the visible similarities between Kate and Rio, whose looks have previously been compared with her grandmother’s.

“Happy Birthday Oliver,” one fan wrote before noting they think his daughter “looks just like your sister Kate.”

“Kate, that dress is amazing on you & your niece is your TWIN!” another fan gushed.

“Family looks run deep ?? get it Hudsons,” one Instagram user noted.

“Thought It was an old photo and you were in it. His daughter is like you ??,” another fan told Kate.
