Kate Middleton Reportedly 'Very Concerned' Amid Ongoing Family Rift Between Husband Prince William and Prince Harry
Kate Middleton is apparently hoping for an end to the rift between her husband Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry.
The Princess of Wales is said to have been staying out of the royal family drama while undergoing her cancer treatments, but according to royal sources who spoke to Closer magazine, "she doesn't want to be left out of the loop anymore."
Kate, 42, is reported to be "very concerned" about the situation involving Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, who were said to be excluded from the invite list for the royal family's summer gathering at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Kate made a rare appearance arriving at Crathie Church with William, 42, on the Balmoral Estate on Sunday, Aug. 25, but Harry, 39, hasn't visited Balmoral since the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022, despite growing up going to the Scottish estate for the family's late-summer getaway.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in California with their two children ever since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, and Harry's differences with his brother and father, King Charles, only seem to have gotten worse since then.
"It's something she really wants William to try and fix, but he’s refusing and is adamant that Harry deserves no mercy, that anything they do will just be manipulated by him and Meghan," a source recently told Fox News, noting that Kate "would like nothing better than to have the brothers kiss and make up."
They added, "It would be one less cloud hanging over the royal family's head."
Unfortunately, according to the source, William and Kate have very different ways of handling the situation.
“In his view, the best course is to keep quiet, keep away from them and get on with their lives, but Kate is very much opposed to that way of thinking," the insider spilled. "As far as she’s concerned, life's too short for grudges."
The source even noted that Kate is "pushing" for William to mend things with Harry, though the two brothers still appear to be far from burying the hatchet.
