Kendall Jenner's new Proactiv post about 'debilitating' acne incites backlash: 'Where's our paid partnership?'
Kendall Jenner has returned to promoting Proactiv skin care products, despite the criticism she received when she announced her partnership with the brand earlier this month.
At the time, commenters on social media were open about their disappointment in the news, because she had teased it as a big reveal — her “most raw story.” Mom Kris Jenner applauded her for being “so brave and vulnerable.” People were not amused when they found out that it was a sponsorship.
On Thursday, the model shared a lengthy statement about having been “anxious, helpless and insecure” because of her acne in the past.

She also shared, via Instagram Stories, a look at her teenage skin. (Of course, her younger face was already familiar to longtime viewers of her family’s show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which has been on the air since 2007.)
While Jenner turned off the comments on her latest Instagram post, people still had something to say about it on social media. Many of them were less than impressed.
I have got to say Kendall Jenner has to be the biggest insult ever to girls struggling with acne. Stop flaunting your skin that you paid thousands of dollars for. Some of us don’t have the privilege you do, we have to try drug store products that still don’t work.

In times such as these, I wish Kendall Jenner would step forth to heal the divide caused by the #Gillette ad by handing both sides a can of #Pepsi…
