Kerry Washington Makes a Case for Socks and Pumps at Thom Browne’s Fall 2025 Show In NYC
Kerry Washington dressed up in a full Thom Browne ensemble to attend the American designer’s star-studded fall 2025 ready-to-wear show in New York City on Feb. 11. Showcasing his signature spiffy aesthetic, the actress and producer complemented a pinstriped set with socks and brogue pumps for the occasion.
Washington looked smart in a sharply tailored suit look including a navy blue pinstriped single-breasted blazer and a matching ankle-length pencil skirt. Underneath her jacket, which was fastened with shining gold buttons, she wore a white collared shirt buttoned to the top and a tightly knotted brown tie with diagonal stripes. A pair of aviator eyeglasses and a white purse accented her sophisticated ensemble.

Washington’s look also included a pair of Thom Browne heels, specifically one of the designer’s styles fusing the elements of a pump and a brogue. Her dark brown and white shoes featured the pointed toe, narrow heel and low-cut vamp of a pump in addition to the decorative perforations and the lacing of a brogue. Washington wore the style with a pair of navy blue crew socks with the red, white and blue stripes denoting the brand on the back; this nod to the designer could be seen throughout her look, including a tab on the back of her shoes.
The Thom Browne shoe wasn’t Washington’s only NYFW appearance this season. She also attended the Michael Kors fall 2025 ready-to-wear show that same day, wearing a dark blue look with black accents including pair of pointed-toe heels. She wore a different black pointed-toe heel when she attended the Golden Globes in January wearing Balenciaga Knife pumps with a hot pink gown and long gloves.
