American pop artist Kesha left out Diddy’s name from her hit single ‘TiK ToK’ during a live performance in Los Angeles on Friday, 18th November, as Billboard reports. The change seemed like a response to allegations of abuse made by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie, which were made public by The New York Times last week.

Kesha performed the hit song ‘TiK ToK’ without the original opening line, “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P Diddy.” Instead, Kesha sang, “Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ just like me.”

Cassie – legal name Casandra Ventura – filed a sex trafficking and sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The complaint accused Diddy of trafficking, raping, and physically abusing Cassie over a decade-long relationship that began when she was 19.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story,” Cassie said regarding the trauma she allegedly endured. Diddy denied the allegations, labelling them “offensive and outrageous,” and accused Cassie of attempting extortion.

Later, Diddy and Cassie announced a settlement. However, the sum of the settlement remains undisclosed.
