Kevin Bacon Goes Demon-Hunting in ‘The Bondsman’ Trailer
Kevin Bacon returns from the dead to hunt demonic criminals in the trailer for Amazon’s The Bondsman, which dropped on Tuesday.
The series returns Bacon to television since Showtime’s City on a Hill, which ended in 2022, and also marks a reunion with Amazon for the I Love Dick star. His first TV series regular role came in 2013 with Fox’s The Following.

In Bondsman, Bacon plays Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter whose second chance at life has him trying to recapture escaped demons in Hell after being resurrected by the Devil. “If you fail to process any demons assigned to you, you will be terminated,” Jolene Purdy, who plays Midge and who recruited Halloran to go demon-hunting in Hell, warns at one point in the trailer (below).
By chasing demons with his fists, guns and chainsaws, and with the help and hindrance of his estranged family, Halloran learns how his own sins got his soul condemned in the first place and how he can also get another chance at love and even country music success, per the show’s logline.
All eight episodes debut April 3 on Prime Video, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The Bondsman also stars Jennifer Nettles, Damon Herriman, Beth Grant and Maxwell Jenkins. The series comes from Blumhouse Television, Marker 96, CrimeThink Production Company, and Amazon MGM Studios.
Executive producers include Erik Oleson, who also showruns, Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Chris McCumber, Bacon, Paul E. Shapiro and Grainger David, who created the series. Erik Holmberg serves as co-executive producer.
The Bondsman joins a Prime Video series lineup that includes Red One, Road House, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Fallout, Reacher, The Boys, Cross and The Idea of You. Blumhouse Television has credits that include The Jinx, The Normal Heart, the limited series Sharp Objects and the documentary How to Dance in Ohio, all for HBO.
