Kevin Michael Richardson, Trevor Devall Join ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Animated Series
Disney XD has found its Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
Kevin Michael Richardson will voice the tree-like humanoid while Trevor Devall will take over as the engineered bounty hunter/mercenary raccoon in the upcoming animated series.
Richardson voiced Cleveland Jr. on Fox’s “The Cleveland Show” and Devall previously voiced Rocket in a crossover episode on “Ultimate Spiderman.”

Both expressed their excitement about joining the cast by mimicking the space heroes’ voices in a series of tweets posted by Marvel Entertainment Tuesday. Marvel and Disney Channel PR’s Twitter accounts will announce more cast additions through Thursday.

The Marvel superhero film, which starred Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana, amassed more than $774 million worldwide. In the film, Bradley Cooper portrayed Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel was Groot.
A sequel to “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be released on July 28, 2017.
