Key Glock Does His Own Stunts In “Let’s Go” Music Video
Key Glock transforms into an action film star in his latest music video. Released on Tuesday (Jan. 16), the cinematic visual for “Let’s Go” finds the rapper risking it all, carrying out high-level heists across Miami with his leading lady.
Directed by Chris Villa, the 26-year-old learned John Wick-style “gun-fu” from one of the film’s stunt coordinators, according to a press statement. Over 20 VFX artists worked on the video, which co-stars Alix Lapri by Key Glock’s side.
“Let’s go handle business. I’m sh*ttin’ on the industry and God is my witness,” rhymes Key Glock over the King Wonka and Hadouken!-produced track.
In the mini-movie, the duo disguises their true identities to carry out high-stakes robberies. Their crime spree finds them at car washes, convenience stores, and more, taking on henchmen in their quest for the unlawful bag.
The high-stakes video comes as “Let’s Go” continues to trend on social media reaching the Top 25 charts on TikTok and Instagram Reels at the end of last year. Additionally, the song has been adopted as a theme song by the nationally-ranked University of Memphis men’s basketball team.
“Let’s Go” is featured on Key Glock’s latest release Glockoma 2 (Deluxe). Initially issued in February 2023, the album was updated with eight additional tracks in June of that same year.
“I was mad. I was mad making most of those songs, so, that’s where that energy came from,” explained the Memphis native to XXL of creating the project. He continued to detail, “Nah, I still got work to do. This the appetizer.”
Glockoma 2 album peaked at No. 13 on the US Billboard 200 and features Key Glock standing solo with no features across the 15 original tracks, as well as bonus songs. Check out the album below and watch the video for “Let’s Go” above.
