KFC’s Edible, Fried Chicken-Flavored Nail Polish Gives New Meaning to Chicken Fingers
KFC is unveiling some new products that are “Finger Nail Lickin’ Good.”
The fried chicken chain is taking their slogan to a new, and quite frankly, disturbing place. According to AdWeek, KFC will release two flavors of the nail polish — Original and Hot & Spicy — as a promotion in KFC Hong Kong.

Because when you think about it, fried chicken and cosmetics go hand-in-hand.
“Yes, it is actually a real thing,” Anna Mugglestone, who works at Ogilvy & Mather Group in Hong Kong, confirmed to the New York Times.
They’ve also released a video promoting, which is actually quite mesmerizing.

Apparently Ogilvy & Mather developed the nail polishes using McCormack spices. Both flavors are sparkly and edible, but the Hot & Spicy is a brighter orange color, while the Original is kind of … chicken flesh-colored?
“The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish,” Ogilvy creative director John Koay told AdWeek. “This campaign is designed to be intriguing and fun to increase excitement around the KFC brand in Hong Kong.”
