Khloé Kardashian's Best Friend Malika Haqq Appears to Slam Jordyn Woods' Alleged Excuses
Khloé Kardashian‘s best friend Malika Haqq appears to be taking aim at Jordyn Woods — again.
On Wednesday, Haqq, 35, shared a heartfelt quote on Instagram that read, “The most important promise you can keep is a promise to yourself.”
The post prompted a fan to comment on Haqq’s character and her never-ending support of Kardashian, 34. “I admire how you own your mistakes and are always there for @KhloeKardashian. She deserves all the happiness,” the fan wrote.
In her response, Haqq acknowledged her own faults but then appeared to slam Woods, 21.
While Haqq did not mention the model by name, she did allude to Wood’s first in-person interview on Jada Pinkett Smith‘s Red Table Talk, in which Woods will presumably address the alleged affair with Tristan Thompson. The interview airs Friday on Facebook Watch, PEOPLE confirmed.
“I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again but I damn sure wouldn’t make excuses (alcohol) in an interview to gain self pity and save face,” Haqq wrote back.
“No one in my life would condone that coward like behavior,” Haqq added.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Woods had claimed she had drunk heavily that night of the alleged hookup with Thompson but she immediately knew she made a mistake.
“She was drunk but not blacked out,” the source says. “Afterwards she knew she had messed up and was like ‘I gotta go, I gotta go.’ It was a one-time thing.”
And while Woods has made numerous attempts to apologize since news of the cheating scandal broke, what she’s telling the Kardashians allegedly isn’t consistent.
“Her story keeps changing a bit, and it’s almost like she is digging herself deeper,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “It’s been a week now of nonsense explaining from her side. Everyone thinks she wanted to hook up with Tristan and she just didn’t think she was gonna get caught.”
Woods’ rep is not commenting, and reps for Kardashian and Thompson have not responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
Woods announced her Red Table Talk interview Tuesday afternoon when she briefly went live on Instagram.
In the livestream, Woods was filmed from behind on set as she approached the table wearing a black turtleneck dress and sneakers. The camera followed her as she took her seat, turning to face viewers directly with a serious stare.
Last week, Woods indirectly addressed the scandal at the launch event for her Eylure X Jordyn Woods Lashes in Los Angeles, telling attendees: “Thank you guys for coming out and supporting me through everything that’s going on. It’s been real, and Eylure has been super real with a project I’ve been working on for over nine months right now.”
The show is hosted by Pinkett Smith, 47, her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne. Woods, whose late father was a television sound engineer, has known the Smith family for years and Pinkett Smith’s son Jaden, 20, is actually the one who introduced Woods to Kylie Jenner.
Haqq’s commentary on Woods Wednesday isn’t the first time the ATL star has thrown shade at the model.
Shortly after news broke that Thompson allegedly cheated with Woods, Haqq left a fiery comment on a post that made fun of the scandal.
The post, which showed Jenner’s daughter Stormi excitedly saying bye while seated in a high chair, was captioned “Stormi in Calabasas waiting for Jordyn to pack her s— and get out of Kylie’s house like…”
“These h— ain’t loyal,” Haqq wrote in a since-deleted comment captured by Instagram account Comments by Celebs.
Kardashian’s best friend quoted Chris Brown in his track “Loyal” to seemingly taking a jab at Woods.
A rep for Haqq did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The alleged scandal comes nearly one year after videos leaked of Thompson getting close to other women, just days before Kardashian gave birth to their daughter baby True in April 2018.
