‘The Killing’ Final Season Premiere Date Set for August
Netflix has set Aug. 1 to premiere all six episodes of the fourth and final season of “The Killing,” the drama that struggled to gain an audience on AMC after its first season in 2011.

AMC canceled “The Killing” after its second season, but the series was brought back to life after Netflix made a deal that allowed AMC to air a third. The drama was canceled from cable after that season, but Netflix picked up six episodes to conclude the story.
Based on the Danish series “Forbrydelsen,” “The Killing” follows various murder investigations led by homicide detectives Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman).

All six episodes of the final season will be available for streaming on Aug. 1, in all Netflix territories.
