If not, put it on your weekend "watch" list. This 2019 film took home the Emmy for Outstanding Documentary and shed some new light on the darker parts of Michael Jackson's life - specifically, the sexual abuse allegations that surfaced in the early 1990s.

It was one year ago last week when Kanye West stirred up some Michael-related controversy during one of his Sunday Service events when he came to Jackson's defense. His public statements were given just as the documentary was set to debut at Sundance Film Festival.

"They're just going to pull up full documentaries on 'em, and then they're going to come with the Michael documentary," West said. "But we can enjoy their music all we want...I thought I wasn't going to go there today. If we're gonna tear down artists, let's go ahead and take [Leonardo] da Vinci out the Lourve. Let's take down all the art."

Naturally, West's words were met with some very serious heat, alleging that the star was giving his "thumbs up" to the behavior that Jackson continues to be accused of.

Ever since his debut album in 2004, Kanye has had a thing for making Michael mentions (see: "Gold Digger") - but the most recent point of interest has been KimYe's purchase of much Michael memorabilia (we'll stop with the alliteration now).

On Christmas Eve, PEOPLE reported the couples' purchase of a velvet jacket that Jackson once wore while out with Elizabeth Taylor (the one seen above). Their purchase was actually the result of an auction they won; an auction they entered on behalf of their daughter - because according to Kim, "North is a really big Michael Jackson fan...she's so grateful and excited."

Fans and moms alike (but mostly moms tbh) were relieved to know that Kim had the jacket sleeves "tacked up" so that - just like the candy - North can enjoy it now and later. The jacket wasn't the end of it, though.

After displaying the bedazzled coat on her Instagram story, Kimmy had another surprise in store.

"Along with the jacket, North also got Michael's 'Smooth Criminal' hat. It still has makeup on it," Kim captioned.

In response to Kanye's previous Sunday Service sentiments (sorry, alliteration), Kim set the record straight on their Jacksonian views when she stood by her man via Twitter.

"I want to make it very clear," she began, "he is not condoning anyone's actions or unacceptable behavior. My husband's words are being taken out of context due to timing."
