Kim Kardashian addresses alleged Anna Wintour drama at Victoria Beckham fashion show
Even the Kardashians can’t control traffic.
During the Season 5 premiere of Hulu’s “The Kardashians” on Thursday, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner get caught in traffic heading to the Victoria Beckham show at Paris Fashion Week that Kendall Jenner is walking in.
“We are in this crush of traffic. We know we’re gonna be late. We feel terrible,” Kris, 68, says in a confessional. “We don’t know what else to do. It’s like one road in and one road out. It’s stopped.”
The episode was filmed in September 2023 — when reports claimed that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who was at the show and sat next to Kim, 43, once she arrived, was mad that the reality star was so late.
In the car, Kris asks Kim if she wants to text Beckham, 50, that they’re going to be late, but Kim shuts that idea down.
“I’m so nervous that we’re not gonna make the show,” Kris tells viewers. “I know how much this means to Kim, and Victoria and Kim are good friends. And Kendall’s walking the show.”
The fashion show starts when the mother-daughter duo are still on their way, stressing Kim out.
“The car ride took us an hour, so we’re 20 minutes late to the show,” Kim says in a confessional. “I’m not late like that. I’m very respectful of people’s time and I feel really bad that we’re late.”
As they finally arrive at the event, Kim vents to the viewers that she knows the incident will be misconstrued by the media.
“I know what’s gonna come — and for everyone to just start with this story that we held up the show. ‘Who do they think they are? That Anna was mad. That we don’t like each other,’ ” she says.
“If anything, I think we need to be extra on time, early, just not give anyone a reason to talk sh-t,” Kim adds.
Kim later sits right beside Wintour, 74, who greets the “American Horror Story” actress.
In the episode, the fashion show started before Kim and Kris got there.
At one point during the fashion show, Wintour, who was seated between Kim and David Beckham, appeared to get up and move seats, which led to fans speculating that the media exec didn’t want to be next to Kim.
However, Page Six shut down that rumor.
An insider said the two stars “took in the entire show seated beside each other and they were even photographed chatting when the media executive made her exit.”
Despite the rumored beef between the two, Kim still snagged an invite to Anna’s annual Met Gala in New York City earlier this month.
Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were also in attendance.
New episodes of “The Kardashians” drop on Hulu and Disney+ every Thursday at 12 a.m. ET.
