Remember the days when it was “in” to bash on the color pink? Well, those days are dead and gone, baby, because Elle Woods’ favorite color is the color to rock this year. Chances are, you’ve seen people going gaga over the Barbie trailer and are currently buying decor to match the Pantone Color of the Year for 2023 (it’s Viva Magenta!). Not only that, but it seems like every other star is rocking the hot pink on the red carpet, diving fully into the Barbiecore trend.
So you may be asking yourself, what the heck is this “Barbiecore” trend I’ve been seeing everywhere? Well, it’s one of the latest aesthetic trends that is taking over the internet and Hollywood by storm. Taking part in this trend is really simple because all you really have to do is rock the color pink! The trend is all about rocking bright, bold, and monochromatic pink clothes that remind us of our Barbie dolls back in the day.
It became super popular right when word came out that Margot Robbie was starring in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie that’s set to come out this summer! So ever since early 2022, we’ve been seeing way more people rocking the bolder, more vibrant pink looks.
