The 2024 Kering Caring for Women Dinner at The Pool in New York City was not just another glamorous night on the fashion calendar — it was a testament to the power of style with a purpose. Bringing together some of the biggest names in fashion, film and philanthropy, the event shone a spotlight on the luxury conglomerate’s dedication to women’s causes worldwide. The evening’s attire was equally powerful, with guests cloaked in designs from Kering’s brands, including Balenciaga and Gucci.

Kim Kardashian made an appearance in a custom version of look 70 from Balenciaga’s summer 2024 collection. The dress was molded to the star’s body and gave the illusion of it being “wet” in beige silicone, creating a sleek and sculpted silhouette. The dress featured a high-gloss finish, giving it a liquid effect that was further enhanced by her wet-look hairstyle. She accessorized with the brand’s Knife pumps in black shiny calfskin, adding a polished touch to the ensemble.
Opting for Balenciaga as well, Lindsay Lohan and Katy Perry embraced the brand’s darker, more romantic side. Lohan wore a custom off-shoulder gown inspired by the summer 2024 collection. The gown, crafted from black embroidered lace, showcased a refined take on Balenciaga’s signature style with intricate floral detailing. Meanwhile, Perry chose a vibrant approach, donning an embroidered bustier gown in turquoise from Balenciaga’s winter 2024 collection runway featuring intricate embellishments. Both stars completed their looks with Knife pumps in black satin.
As one of the event’s co-chairs, Salma Hayek Pinault arrived in a custom black Gucci gown, detailed with vertical leather stripes and black strass embroidery. Her look was accented by a custom black Blondie clutch, which harmonized with the gown’s textured embellishments.
Gucci was also the choice for Dakota Johnson, who wore a custom ivory cady gown with a silver crystal bustier. The clean lines of her gown were accentuated by the subtle sparkle of the crystal details. She accessorized with a mini Jackie Notte bag in silver, adding a touch of minimalist elegance to her ensemble.
