Knives Out 3 Cast Adds Spider-Man’s Thomas Haden Church

Thomas Haden Church is the latest actor to join the cast of Knives Out 3, also known as Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

Per The Wrap, Church has been tapped to play an undisclosed character in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

The rest of the cast includes Challengers’ Josh O’Connor, Civil War’s Cailee Spaeny, Sherlock’s Andrew Scott, Scandal’s Kerry Washington, Fatal Attraction’s Glenn Close, Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner, That ‘70s Show’s Mila Kunis, Peaky Blinders’ Daryl McCormack, and Dune’s Josh Brolin. Daniel Craig is also reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.

Plot details for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery remain under wraps at this time. Johnson is once again writing and directing the movie after previously making 2019’s Knives Out and the 2022 sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Johnson is also producing Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery alongside Ram Bergman for T-Street.

What projects has Thomas Haden Church been in before?

Church is best known for playing Flint Marko/Sandman in 2007’s Spider-Man 3, a role he then reprised in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. He’s also known for playing Agent Stone in Peacock’s Twisted Metal, which will soon be getting a second season.

His filmography also includes 1993’s Tombstone, 1997’s George of the Jungle, 2006’s Charlotte’s Web, 2010’s Easy A, 2011’s We Bought a Zoo, 2012’s John Carter, 2019’s The Peanut Butter Falcon, 2019’s Hellboy, and, most recently, 2023’s Accidental Texan.

He’ll next be seen in Kevin Costern’s upcoming western epic Horizon: An American Saga. The first chapter of Horizon: An American Saga releases in United States theaters on June 28, 2024.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery does not yet have an official release date at this time.
