Kourtney Kardashian Wishes Addison Rae Happy Birthday, Posts Flashback TikTok
The pair has enjoyed a close friendship since early 2020
Kourtney Kardashian is celebrating Addison Rae's birthday.
Kourtney, 44, gave a special shout-out to the TikTok star (whose full name is Addison Rae Easterling) as she turned 23 on Friday. In addition to sharing two photos of the pair posing together on her Instagram Story, the Poosh founder posted a hilarious flashback TikTok the two made together in which they recreated a scene from a 2017 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
In the clip, Rae, playing Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, is showing daughter Khloé Kardashian some bathing suits she recently got, including a low-cut one-piece design given to her by Kourtney.
"Well, I can't wear it 'cause do you see the back? It's a thong. What do you think I am?" Kourtney says, playing younger sister Khloé.
"You don't wear a thong?" Rae as Jenner asks with a surprised voice.
"I mean, not in public," Kourtney replies.
"Oh, wow. You are conservative," Rae mimics Jenner, making an exaggerated shocked expression.
Kourtney also re-shared an Instagram post from Rae, thanking her for the birthday gift she sent. It appears the reality star sent Rae a sweet surprise: a gift basket full of colorful confections featuring her first initial "A" made from heart-shaped gummy candies.
"SCREAMING AND CRYING," Rae wrote over a photo of the gift. "I love you so much @kourtneykardash. You know me so well."
The pair first connected in early 2020, when Kourtney asked Rae to surprise her son Mason because he's a big fan of her TikToks. The women hit it off immediately, Rae later revealed while appearing on the Tom Ward Show in July 2020.
"I kind of just stuck around, and we got really close," she said at the time. "We started working out together. We did a video on her YouTube of us doing a butt workout and stuff, so that was fun."
In an interview with PEOPLE that same month, Rae credited Kourtney with encouraging her to tune out the hate she receives on social media and embrace a more positive mindset.

"One of my friends, Kourtney Kardashian, has told me to appreciate and look at the bigger picture and to not get so caught up in the micro," Rae said. "Just enjoy what you have and don’t let things get to you too much because there’s so much else to be happy about."

Their friendship continued to blossom, and in 2021, Kourtney made a surprise cameo in Rae's movie He's All That. Ahead of the movie's premiere, the content creator told Access Hollywood that Kourtney had become an "amazing friend" and "mentor" to her.
She noted that she and Kourtney are "really similar" in their personalities. "I think both of us are very honest people, and we like a lot of the same things," Rae explained. "It started off with both of us just loving to workout. We were doing that together a lot."
"She's just a very real person and honest," she added. "She's been so helpful to me in every way. She's such a good person to lean on."
Kourtney shared her own thoughts about their friendship — including the duo's 21-year age difference — during an episode of her family's reality series. "I feel like I have a young heart and an old soul," she said.
"People seem to focus on the age gap between Addison and me but I don't think every person needs to understand my relationships with each of my friends," she continued.
Back in July, the two friends proved their bond is still just as strong as ever as they enjoyed a pool day together. Kourtney shared a series of photos on Instagram of the pair relaxing poolside in coordinating hot-pink bikinis. In the shots, Rae lovingly rested her hand on Kourtney's belly — she and husband Travis Barker are currently expecting a baby together.
