KTLA hosts ‘Lead with Love 5’ telethon benefitting Project Angel Food

For the fifth year in a row, KTLA 5 will host the star-studded “Lead with Love” telethon benefitting Project Angel Food and presented by City National Bank.

Hosts Steven Weber and Jessica Holmes will be joined by co-hosts Loni Love, Alec Mapa and radio announcer Lisa Foxx.

Other big names making an appearance include Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Alexander, Jean Smart, Eric McCormack, k.d. lang, Kathy Griffin, Kristin Chenoweth, Vivica A. Fox, Charo, Amanda Kloots, Jackie Beat, Michael McDonald, Vincent Rodriguez, Lawrence and Gregory Zarian, Project Angel Food founder Marianne Williamson and others.

Viewers will also be treated to a “Knot’s Landing” reunion with Donna Mills, Michele Lee, and Joan Van Ark along with “Five Year Flashback” encore appearances by Ringo Starr, Oprah Winfrey, Carol Burnett, Paula Abdul, Lily Tomlin and Magic Johnson.

Since premiering in June 2020, “Lead with Love” has raised millions of dollars for Project Angel Food’s vital work of feeding critically ill men, women and children in Los Angeles County. The organization prepares and delivers more than 1 million Medically Tailored Meals each year.

The nonprofit organization cooks and delivers healthy, delicious meals and offers nutrition counseling — all free of charge.

“Food is Medicine” is Project Angel Food’s philosophy, and its main goal is to help people become healthy again through proper nutrition.

The telethon will be happening on June 22 at 7 p.m. and will air live on KTLA 5 and streaming on KTLA.com, KTLA+ and the KTLA app.
