Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec Dish on That 'Big Shocker' from Their Wedding – His Surprise Olivia Newton-John Serenade!

It's not every day that Olivia Newton-John delivers a happy birthday serenade.

A little more than two months after Dancing With the Stars' dance pro Kym Johnson wed her on-screen dance partner Robert Herjavec in fairy tale wedding, and there's one surprise moment from their celebration that she's still keeping close to her heart.

"Just doing our vows was like the most beautiful, but the kind of big shocker was having Olivia Newton-John sing," Johnson recalled to PEOPLE while the couple attended the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony on Sunday. "That was kind of out there, yeah! That was pretty special."

Newton-John's appearance was a big surprise orchestrated by her groom, says Johnson, who along with the couple's guests were stunned when the 67-year-old Australian pop star joined Herjavec on stage at midnight during the reception to serenade Johnson with "Happy Birthday," in honor of Johnson's then-impending 40th birthday.



"Robert knows that I love her," said Johnson, who got to sing Newton-John's signature hit "Physical" alongside her idol. "I'm obviously Australian and having her there was just incredible. I hope to be really good friends with her now. I feel like we're going to be really good buddies!"

Herjavec, 53, told PEOPLE he enjoyed setting up the big surprise for his bride.

"I just wanted to do something really special for her," he said. "I was going to throw a birthday party for her, but all her family was leaving the next day, so we just put it together. And at midnight, Olivia Newton-John came out, and I pretended I took singing lessons. It worked out great!"

From his perspective, though, the business said there was an even more unforgettable moment at the wedding.

"When Kym turned the corner and I saw her for the first time in the wedding dress. I lost my mind," he admitted. "She was so beautiful. I mean, I was really with it, and I thought I wasn't going to lose it, but when she turned that corner, it was, 'Wow!' "

Now that they're settling back into their normal life together after their honeymoon in Bora Bora, the newlyweds are focusing on their goals as a couple.

The entrepreneur revealed that he has his eye on developing a venture that they can embark on together.

"Because we're both professionals that happen to be on TV, we'd love to do something together – some kind of a project," he said. "We're trying to find something. We've been working with 'Dancing with the Stars' and ABC on some stuff. It'll be fun to do something together."

"We've got so many things that we want to do together," said Johnson. "It's kind of just the beginning. We feel like our lives have just started. It's amazing."
