Lady Gaga Channels Victorian Era in Platform Pumps and Gothic Dress at the 2025 Grammys
Lady Gaga channeled the Victorian era in pointed-toe platform pumps at the 2025 Grammy’s red carpet on Sunday night in Los Angeles, Calif.
Wearing an oversized black lace gown with Victorian sleeves at the forefront, the pumps were constructed with patent leather material, dramatized by their triangular platform upper measuring close to two inches in height. While the back of her shoes couldn’t be seen completely, it’s likely they were completed by a heel measuring between 3-to-4 inches in height.

Accessorizing her gown with a Tiffany & Co. pendant, the “Die With a Smile” singer wore a long bang hair style with red lipstick.
Platform heels with an edgy design have become a popular choice amongst celebrities in recent years, with many high-profile names such as Salma Hayek and Kate Beckinsale engaging in the trend. Justice herself has worn the platform sandals look on a number of occasions, including the No. 1 BBMA’s party ahead of the Billboard Music Awards in December 2023.
Lady Gaga is also no stranger to shoes with extreme height, wearing a daunting pair of towering patent leather Pleaser platforms to the 2024 Olympics, which featured a sky-high design, a distinctive design, a robust heel and a thick sole.
She was seen wearing those exact same shoes one day ahead of the opening ceremony. Several months prior, the artist was photographed celebrating her 38th birthday at Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles wearing a pair of black extreme sky-high platform boots. The star’s shoes, made with an 8-inch heel, were doused in an all-black color. Additionally, the shoes featured a lace-up style and rounded toe design in the front. The boots were constructed with a medium heel detail. A number of other celebrities have been seen sporting similar styles of platform boots as the style has become a popular choice for both casual and high-profile occasions due to its edgy punk-rock aesthetic.
The 2025 Grammy Awards are an annual ceremony that honors the best recordings, compositions, and artists from September 16, 2023, to August 30, 2024, as chosen by the members of the Recording Academy.
