Lakers greats congratulate Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani for making history

On Thursday afternoon, Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani accomplished a major statistical feat when he became the first Major League Baseball player to record 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the same season.

He has been referred to as the Babe Ruth of the modern era, as he has been one of the few players who have been both a great pitcher and a serious threat at the plate, not to mention a major power hitter.

Los Angeles Lakers legend and Dodgers part-owner Magic Johnson took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to congratulate Ohtani for this huge accomplishment.

Current Lakers superstar LeBron James also gave Ohtani some love for becoming the only member of the 50/50 club.

Most Lakers fans also root for the Dodgers, and they would love nothing more than for Ohtani and the Dodgers to cap off this special season with a World Series championship in the coming weeks.
