Lauryn Hill announces tour extension with The Fugees and her son

Hip-hop and R&B pioneer Lauryn Hill is continuing to reunite with some old friends on her “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” tour, and now she is bringing a family member into the mix as well.

The extension of the tour will see both Hill and the Fugees – the legendary trio consisting of her, Wyclef Jean and Pras – co-headlining 21 shows across America and Europe, including a Sept. 17 performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

According to the tour’s flyer, Hill will be performing songs from her legendary and only studio album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” which was recently ranked as Apple Music’s best album of all time.

Songs from The Fugees’ Grammy-winning album “The Score” will also be included in the set list, the flyer indicated.

The Fugees, who have disbanded multiple times since forming in 1990, announced that they would be reuniting for a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of “The Score” in 2021 but later canceled it due to issues around the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hill had announced the original iteration of the “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” tour celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary last August; she and The Fugees performed at the Kia Forum in Inglewood in November.

Presale for the North American leg of the tour begins Tuesday, with general ticket sales beginning on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
