Law & Order: Mekhi Phifer to Guest-Star in Season 24 — ER Fans, You’ll Love the Behind-the-Scenes Photo
The Law & Order courthouse is starting to look like the break room at County General.
Mekhi Phifer will guest-star in an upcoming Season 24 episode of NBC’s flagship legal drama, TVLine has confirmed. The stint will have him working on the same set as Maura Tierney, his fellow ER alum who now plays Law & Order‘s Lt. Jessica Brady. GiveMeMyRemote first reported the casting.

But the ER connections don’t stop there. In a photo that Law & Order star Mechad Brooks posted to his Instagram account, Phifer poses on set with a group that includes Eriq La Salle, who played ER‘s Dr. Benton and who has directed several Law & Orderverse and #OneChicago episodes, and Michael Beach, who played ER‘s Al Boulet and who recurs as Law & Order lawyer Brian Harris.
In addition to playing ER‘s Dr. Pratt, Phifer’s TV work also includes roles on Lie to Me; Torchwood; House of Lies; Frequency; Love, Victor; A&E’s Roots remake, The Bobby Brown Story and Truth Be Told. His film work includes 8 Mile, Honey and Dawn of the Dead.
Law & Order will air its fall finale Thursday at 8/7c on NBC.
