Lifetime Kicks Off Fall Movie Slate With ‘Nightmare In The Desert’ Starring Gia De Sauvage, Allen Williamson & Tristan J. Watson

EXCLUSIVE: Lifetime has announced thriller movie Nightmare in the Desert starring newcomers Gia De Sauvage and Tristan J. Watson and Allen Williamson (Abduction). The film will premiere Sunday, September 15 at 8p/7c/ to kick off the network’s fall movie slate.

Nightmare in the Desert, inspired by actual events, stars De Sauvage as Shae, a young woman who returns to her hometown, hoping to put her past to rest but instead finds herself in a battle for survival in the desert.

After her father’s passing, Shae (De Sauvage) returns to her childhood home outside of Joshua Tree National Park with her boyfriend Chris (Watson) to tie up loose ends and sell her childhood home.  To make the most of their time there, Shae and Chris set out on a hike through the park where he plans to surprise her with a proposal. But a mysterious figure begins to track the couple through the desert, determined to prevent the proposal from happening, even if it means murder.

Williamson portrays Shae’s childhood friend, Burke Elder.

Nightmare in the Desert is produced for Lifetime by Johnson Production Group.  Executive producers are Timothy O. Johnson and Joseph Wilka and co-executive producer is Lisa Frye Alford.  Sam Irvin directs from a script written by Richard Pierce.

Nightmare in the Desert is De Sauvage’s first leading role and Watson’s first major acting role. De Sauvage recently appeared in a cameo in Lifetime’s Sister Wife Murder.

Williamson’s feature credits include Abduction and Homecoming. His television work includes guest-starring roles on How To Get Away With Murder and TURN: Washington’s Spies. He’s repped by Catalyst Talent Agency and Cutler Management.
